Martin Gropius Bau - Berlin, March-May 2007
Rondeau's photographs explore various universes: report on all difficult fronts of the planet and figures portrait. From this exploration is born a wonderful exhibition "Outside the frame" at the Grand Palais: this exhibition takes an offbeat look, full of humour and emotion on famous paintings presented in national museums and on often anonymous assistants that highlight them.
GĂ©rard Rondeau, who gathered in his "Chronicles of a Portraitist" 20 years of portraits, offers in Berlin some echos of these faces of contemporary painters, in their studio intimacy.
